As I look out over numerous bible sites I find that many people are very interested in “End Times” prophesies but very few know the exhortation which the Apostle Paul gave to believers in regards to were we should be focused concerning the Pretrib Rapture of the Chruch.
Titus 2:13-14 says:
13 Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
14 who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
We are told here to look for the “Blessed Hope” which is the appearing of Jesus Christ (the “Rapture of the Church”). As we do Christ Himself, right at this very moment is in the process of purifying us as His own possession, making us desirous to do the good works which God prepared for us beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
Notice that verse 18 tells us to comfort one another with these words. This is not a request but a command. In the Greek, the word comfort is in the imperative mood, which makes it a command.
We are to be looking for the Blessed Hope, which is the appearing of our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ (Pretrib Rapture of the Church). And while we do this, we are to walk in the good works which God has prepared for us (Ephesians 2:10.). As we walk in these good works, we are commanded to comfort each others in expectation of His soon and imminent appearing.
